Southeast College is looking for a qualified Powerline Technician Instructor to provide training in Estevan. This full-time position is a chance to impart your industry knowledge to budding technicians.
You will instruct all levels of the Powerline Technician Apprenticeship, ensuring students grasp critical subjects like line work, grounding, and AC/DC theory. Regularly assessing student progress and contributing to curriculum development will be part of your responsibilities, as will practical training demonstrations to enhance learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead instruction for all levels of powerline technician training
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records
• Teach essential safety and line work procedures
• Develop and improve training curriculum as an industry expert
• Demonstrate all technical aspects of training effectively
Requirements:
• Hold an Interprovincial Red Seal in Powerline Technology
• 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Solid oral and written communication capabilities
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and learning management tools
• Preferred background in adult education or leadership roles
