Join PRI as a Hydrotechnical Engineer-in-Training, contributing to dam safety and flood hazard assessments. This role promises hands-on mentorship while you pursue your P.Eng accreditation.
In this dynamic position, you will work within PRI’s Hydrotechnical practice, tackling projects related to rivers, dams, and mine water management. Your efforts will range from flood modeling to field surveys, all under the supervision of experienced Skilled Engineers. This opportunity is designed to cultivate your technical abilities in crucial water management contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Compile hydrometric and climate data for analysis
• Build hydrologic models guided by senior engineers
• Participate in dam safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Support comprehensive mine water management
• Engage in fieldwork including inspections and monitoring
Requirements:
• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Registered EIT with EGBC or eligible
• Strong foundation in hydrology and hydraulics
• Familiarity with modeling software and GIS
• Class 5 BC driver’s license for site work
