Assist Indigenous students in their educational journey at Baldonnel Elementary as an Indigenous Student Support Worker. This role is pivotal in fostering a supportive learning workplace.

As the Indigenous Student Support Worker, you'll provide guidance tailored to the unique needs of Indigenous students. Collaborating with educational staff, you'll ensure these students have equal opportunities to thrive culturally and academically. Your expertise in Indigenous culture and perspective will enrich the school's educational fabric.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support students through individualized learning and assistance
• Manage essential Indigenous student consent documentation
• Facilitate workshops on Indigenous culture for the school




• Attend mandatory ISSW and safety training sessions
• Act as a mentor and role model for students

Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• One year of recent Indigenous community experience
• Ability to operate independently and prioritize tasks
• WHMIS certification required
• Preference for applicants with Indigenous ancestry
