Housing Manager/
Services Client Services
Status: Permanent / Full-time (35hrs/week)

Department: Client Services

Direct supervisor: Community Coordinator

Working for an organization that serves the fourteen Inuit communities of Nunavik and supports housing services that directly impact families and residents. You will be part of a respectful, collaborative, and multicultural workplace where your role contributes to the quality of daily services.

Your Role
Reporting to the Community Coordinator, the Housing Manager ensures the effective delivery of housing-related client services within the community. You will support tenants and applicants, coordinate housing activities, follow up on tenant accounts and files, and support the Housing Committee.

You will also provide day-to-day support to the Client Services team and serve as a key resource for tenants, applicants, and community partners.

Responsibilities

Provide information and assistance to tenants and applicants regarding housing services, applications, accounts, and procedures

Collect rent, issue receipts, follow up on arrears, and make payment arrangements when required

Maintain tenant files and housing records, and assist with required forms and documentation

Organize and support Housing Committee meetings

Follow up on vacant units, housing conditions, and renovation activities, and keep tenants informed when work affects their units





Provide day-to-day guidance and operational support to the Client Services team

Collaborate with other NHB departments and keep the Community Coordinator informed of activities, issues, and priorities

Required Profile

Secondary V diploma or equivalent relevant experience

Training Experience in administration, client services, housing services, or a related field

Experience in coordination is an asset

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to provide guidance and support to team members

Ability to speak and write fluently in two of three languages (English, French and Inuktitut).

Salary and Perks
This position offers a competitive hourly base salary ranging from $34.83 to $45.15, depending on experience. Employees are eligible for an annual travel allowance of $13,719.30, an annual cost-of-living differential (CLD) of $14,365.54, and a food cargo allowance of $4,105.54 per year, in accordance with current policies and eligibility criteria.

The position also includes 25 vacation days, 16 statutory holidays, and 12 sick days per year, with the option to accumulate a bank of 70 hours (10 days). Group insurance and a pension plan with a 7% employer RRSP contribution are also offered.
