Express Employment Professionals, Delta, is hiring for an Office/ Accounting Assistant for our client company based on Annacis Island of Delta, BC. Our client is an industrial distributor of a niche market. This is an evaluation hire leading into a permanent hire. This role will report to the Office Manager and owners of the company.
Responsibilities Purchase Order entry
Entering invoices
Answer phone calls (very few in a week) and deal with customers as needed
CBSA - CARM client portal - pay taxes and duties, track their website for notifications, and taking actions as necessary.
Quality documentation once a year; maintain company's Health & Safety Manual
Other office administrative duties as assigned
Eventual additional work Support AR or AP; calculate/ remit pension contributions and Union dues




Requirements Competent on QuickBooks Online, MS Office Suite
Ability to learn quickly understand the general business and work - managers will train
Good communication with clients and a positive team player; this is a long time family business
Must be FLEXIBLE to take on additional office task as needed by the managers
Work hours Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3pm. No overtime.
