CancerCare Manitoba seeks a dedicated Nursing Assistant for Radiation Therapy in Winnipeg. This role focuses on patient assistance and clerical support within a collaborative workplace.
In this permanent position, you'll work under a Clinical Resource Therapist, contributing to the daily operations of the Radiation Therapy Department. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care, communication with families, as well as maintaining a clean and organized area. Adaptability and solid customer service skills are crucial in this fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support patient care tasks in the Radiation Therapy Department
• Manage reception tasks and clerical duties efficiently
• Keep therapy spaces tidy and organized
• Engage effectively with patients and family members
• Ensure confidentiality in accordance with CCMB policies
Requirements:
• Health Unit Clerk and Health Care Aide Certificates needed
• Relevant experience in healthcare required
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work well in stress-filled situations
• Current BCLS certification and eligibility to work in Canada
