Become a key Advisor in Indigenous and Rural Relations with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. This full time role is essential for developing impactful community partnerships.
In your capacity, you'll serve as a liaison between the municipal government and Indigenous relations, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and effective service delivery. You are required to have at least five years in working with Indigenous communities, guiding policy development, and implementing engagement strategies that enhance community inclusion. Your role will significantly support the municipality's commitment to reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with Indigenous and rural communities
• Support the implementation of cultural awareness projects
• Advise management on policy and program compliance
• Develop community-enhancing partnership projects
• Oversee engagement and communication efforts
Requirements:
• Five years of experience in Indigenous environments
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and Indigenous issues
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
• Valid Class Five Operator’s License required
