As a member of the Food Services team, you’ll focus on providing nurturing meals to children and their families at Canuck Place. This permanent part-time position requires flexibility with weekend and evening shifts. You will collaborate with volunteers and other staff to create a welcoming kitchen atmosphere and ensure adherence to FoodSafe standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals for 15-50 people
• Maintain a warm, inviting presence for families
• Follow and adapt daily menu plans
• Supervise and direct kitchen volunteers
• Ensure food safety guidelines are adhered to
Requirements:
• Cooking qualification from a recognized school
• Minimum one year of relevant cooking experience
• Food Safe Level 1 certification required
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Effective communication skills in English
