Pipeline Engineering Lead | Calgary, AB
TRS Staffing is seeking Lead Pipeline Engineers for our Calgary-based Fortune 500 company. You will be leading major domestic and international projects. This is a long-term Calgary based position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering execution for domestic and international pipeline projects across oil & gas, hydrogen, CO₂, water, and multiphase systems.

Oversee pipeline routing, hydraulics, materials selection, wall thickness design, stress analysis, and integrity assessments.

Ensure technical quality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Review and approve engineering deliverables and design packages.

Support project planning, proposals, and technical studies.

Manage technical and execution risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Interface directly with clients and support construction, commissioning, and startup activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

P.Eng. designation in Canada, or eligibility to obtain registration.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Minimum 15 years of pipeline engineering experience, including large transmission pipeline projects.

Experience leading FEED and detailed engineering projects.





Experience supporting construction and commissioning phases.

Experience working directly with clients in technical leadership roles.

Experience in EPC, EPCM, or integrated project delivery environments.

Technical Expertise

Robust knowledge of CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.12, API standards, and applicable pipeline design codes.

Experience with:

Hydraulic and surge analysis

Pipeline routing and alignment development

Wall thickness and material selection

Crossing design

Pipeline stress analysis

Pipeline integrity and risk assessment

Constructability reviews

Cost and schedule considerations during design development

Working knowledge of pipeline construction methods and field execution practices.
