Job Description What is the opportunity? This is an exciting chance to work in the ALM Portfolio Management and Execution team with the RBC Corporate Treasury. You will work with a highly skilled team of Portfolio Managers and Traders, getting a great exposure to the way in which the bank seeks to manage the risk exposures that arise from various banking products. You will gain exposure and an opportunity to learn more about the workings of the financial markets and the business of banking.
What will you do? Assist the team in calculating and troubleshooting hedging activities
Work to automate several work product that the team produces
Compile reports and analysis of the performance of hedges
Work with internal stakeholders within CT to investigate changes in key risk metrics used for ALM
Develop proficiency in balance sheet risk measures and simulation
Must Haves: Studying Math/Finance
Prior co-op experience in finance industry
Coding experience (Python/VBA/SQL)
Knowledge of financial products/derivatives
Please note: In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
