The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is recruiting an Indigenous Workforce Development Coordinator to enhance the representation of Indigenous professionals in healthcare. You will spearhead recruitment efforts, promote cultural safety, and collaborate with diverse community sectors. This role will directly address systemic equity and support Indigenous healthcare priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a comprehensive strategy for Indigenous recruitment
• Cultivate strong ties with community and healthcare sectors
• Promote awareness of health career paths for Indigenous individuals
• Implement initiatives for mentorship and outreach programs
• Contribute to anti-racism and cultural safety in HR practices
Requirements:
• 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare setting
• Familiarity with Indigenous employment challenges and solutions
• Strong communication skills and community outreach experience
• Post-secondary education in a relevant area required
• Valid Manitoba driver's license for travel purposes
