On behalf of our client in Hamilton, ON, Winston Brock Recruitment is seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Press Helper to join their production team.

You do not need previous printing experience to be successful in this role.

If you have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with equipment and learning how things operate, and are comfortable in a hands-on manufacturing environment, the company is willing to train you.

About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Press Helper works closely with experienced Press Feeders and Press Operators to support the safe, efficient operation of sheet-fed offset printing presses.

In this role, you will receive: Compensation: $18.50$22.00 per hour, based on experience. A comprehensive benefits package. A full-time, hands-on position with an established and growing organization.

On-the-job training alongside experienced Press Feeders and Press Operators.

An opportunity to develop your mechanical and production skills and learn the commercial printing industry.

Your Day-to-Day will include: Monitor the press feeder and material flow and proactively support the Press Feeder and Press Operator.

Prepare and handle paper and other materials required for production.

Operate the pile lifter and paper stack turning equipment.

Assist with press setup, production requirements, and activities that help minimize downtime.

Perform basic preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.

Maintain the feeder, press area, paper-handling equipment, and surrounding workspace in a clean and safe condition.

When press duties permit, assist with other production activities, including packaging, material handling, and general production support.





Perform general housekeeping throughout production areas.

Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and safe operating requirements.

What Makes You a Great Fit? Strong mechanical aptitude.

Comfortable working with machinery and interested in understanding how equipment operates.

Previous manufacturing, machine operation, mechanical, automotive, maintenance, or similar hands-on experience is an asset.

Printing experience is an asset but is not required the company is willing to train the right person.

High school diploma.

Able to learn quickly, follow instructions, and develop new technical skills.

Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Dependable, flexible, safety-conscious, and team-oriented.

Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
