Development and implementation of electricity generation equipment preventive maintenance programs.

Support Asset Management and Safety related initiatives.

General Description The E3 Engineer is a fully qualified and accredited engineering professional who applies theoretical and practical knowledge to provide engineering design, estimating, planning, and quality management services for low to medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.

Responsibilities Work Assignment Requirements: 1.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electricity generation equipment, including supporting documentation such as maintenance procedures, maintenance instructions, record forms as well as selection of required spare parts to sustain equipment operation.

All deliverables with quality, within budget, and on time. 2.

Must have minimum four (4) years of engineering experience working in the equipment maintenance and/or commissioning field, or equivalent. 3.

Experience with operation, maintenance, and remediation of failures of equipment and systems in the power utility industry, oil and gas industry, or heavy industrial environment 4.

Experience developing preventive maintenance programs and/or developing/performing commissioning plans for a variety of electrical and P&C; assets including: Diesel generators Medium and low voltage equipment (oil filled and dry type transformers, power circuit breakers, disconnect switches, surge arresters, switchgear, power distribution panels, VFDs, etc.) DC power supply equipment (batteries,



chargers, etc.) Control & monitoring related components Electrical protection related components 5.

Registered Professional Engineer (P.

Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC or another jurisdiction and/or eligible for registration as such with Engineers and Geoscientists BC 6.

Reading and understanding drawings (single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, etc.) and manuals to articulate how a system works and how the system can fail and what needs to be done to prevent failures either from a design or an effective maintenance standpoint 7.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize when given multiple competing assignments 8.

Good decision making and conflict resolution skills 9.

Ability to coordinate with engineering subject matter experts, field personnel, regulatory compliance personnel, etc. for the development and implementation of maintenance programs. 10.

Knowledge of Reliability Center Maintenance (RCM) is desirable but not essential 11.

Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is desirable but not essential Qualifications Education and Skills University graduate in applied science or engineering Registered Professional Engineer (P.

Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.

Geo.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or with another jurisdiction and eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BC Company uses a Digital Sign and Seal Technology.





You may be required to subscribe to a digital seal technology service offered by Notarius Familiarity with CAD systems and drawing standards

Ability to use standard industry design/analysis software Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and Power
