Turn existing customer relationships into their next vehicle opportunity.
Charlesglen Toyota - Alberta's Celebration Destination, is family-owned and operated and one of Calgary's largest Toyota dealerships. We're looking for a confident, personable sales professional to join our team in a unique role that connects our Service and Sales departments.
Every day, customers who already know and trust Charlesglen visit our dealership to service their vehicles. As our Service Drive Sales Specialist, your job is to identify customers who may be ready for something newer, start the conversation, understand their needs, and create opportunities for their next vehicle purchase or lease.
This is a sales role, but you won't be starting with a cold list. You'll be working with existing Charlesglen customers and service-drive opportunities, building relationships and helping customers understand their vehicle's current value and available options.
And there's another major advantage: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No evenings. No weekends.
For someone who loves automotive sales and working with customers but wants a consistent weekday schedule, this is a pretty unique chance.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- No evenings or weekends
- Competitive compensation
- On-site café
- Employee discounts on parts, service and vehicles (conditions apply)
- An established customer base and a steady flow of service-drive opportunities
- Support from both our Sales and Service teams
- Opportunities to grow within the Charlesglen Toyota and G3 Auto Group team
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting to Sales Management and working closely with our Service team, you'll turn service-drive interactions into qualified sales opportunities while making sure customers have a positive, pressure-free experience.
- Connect with customers while they are visiting Charlesglen Toyota for service
- Review service-drive activity and customer information to identify potential trade, upgrade and replacement opportunities
- Start genuine conversations about customers' current vehicles, ownership experience and future vehicle needs
- Help customers understand their vehicle's current value and explore whether upgrading or replacing their vehicle makes sense for them
- Identify and qualify customers who are interested in exploring their next vehicle
- Coordinate with the Sales team to move qualified opportunities smoothly into the vehicle sales process
- Follow up consistently with customers who may not be ready today but represent future sales opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of existing Charlesglen customers
- Make outbound calls and conduct targeted customer outreach as part of service-to-sales and retention campaigns
- Maintain accurate customer notes, activities and follow-up plans in the dealership CRM
- Generate repeat business and referral opportunities by building long-term customer relationships
- Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Sales Consultants and Sales Managers to provide a seamless customer experience
- Meet established activity, appointment, referral and sales-opportunity targets
- Track and report results, opportunities and follow-up activity to management
WHAT YOU BRING
This role is a strong fit for someone who is comfortable starting conversations, naturally builds rapport and understands that great sales comes from identifying the right opportunity and following through.
- Previous sales,
business development or relationship-based customer experience
- Automotive sales or dealership experience is an asset
- Valid AMVIC certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Confidence approaching and engaging customers in person
- Strong phone and follow-up skills
- Ability to ask good questions, listen and identify customer needs
- Comfortable discussing vehicle ownership, trade and upgrade opportunities
- Self-motivated and comfortable working toward measurable sales and activity targets
- Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage an active customer pipeline
- Comfortable using CRM and dealership technology
- Positive, professional and collaborative approach
- Ability to work effectively across both Sales and Service
A DIFFERENT KIND OF AUTOMOTIVE SALES ROLE
This isn't a traditional floor sales position.
You'll be working primarily with existing Charlesglen customers who are already coming through our doors, identifying opportunities to help them transition from their current vehicle into their next one.
It takes initiative. You need to be comfortable approaching people, creating conversations and following up consistently. But it also rewards someone who understands that strong automotive sales is about relationships, timing and trust, not simply closing the person standing in front of you.
If you're a relationship-driven salesperson who enjoys creating opportunities and you're looking for an automotive sales role with a Monday-to-Friday schedule and no evenings or weekends, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply today to join the Charlesglen Toyota team!
