Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Road Mechanic to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment used in road operations. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery and vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our commitment to smooth and safe road services.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hands-on troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct welding, assembly, and electrical repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or replace parts as needed.
- Heavy lifting of components and equipment to facilitate repairs or replacements in a safe manner.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.




- Collaborate with team members to ensure all work complies with safety standards and operational guidelines.

Skills

- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with heavy machinery and vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics for troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment operation tools confidently.
- Electrical experience related to automotive repair or industrial systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and maintenance procedures for diverse machinery types.

Pay: $35.00-$47.95 per hour
