Join the effort to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal students as a Part time Indigenous Education Support Worker. This position will allow you to contribute culturally relevant experiences.

As a Part-Time Indigenous Education Support Worker, you will assist teachers at Hume, Blewett, and Rosemont Elementary Schools. This role focuses on providing cultural and educational support to Aboriginal students while working with families and community partners. With a trauma-informed approach, you will foster a sense of belonging and engage students with their heritage through local First Nations culture and traditions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Aboriginal Education program in assigned schools
• Deliver academic and cultural support in a trauma-informed way




• Encourage learning about local First Nations and Metis history
• Build strong relationships with students' families
• Participate in meetings with school teams and parents

Requirements:
• Join CUPE Local 748 Union
• Criminal Record Check required by the employer
• Background in cultural education or community support
• Strong skills in relationship building
• Ability to collaborate with community agencies and Elders
