Support vulnerable individuals at the Campbell River Sobering and Assessment Centre. As a Support Worker, you will facilitate intake and discharge while maintaining a welcoming setting.
Your primary responsibilities include reporting to the Program Manager and observing guest behavior to ensure safety and well-being. This role requires empathy and initiative, particularly when assisting clients facing substance use disorders or homelessness. You’ll provide essential supplies and information to help clients access community resources during their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the facility
• Screen clients for behavioral assessment during intake
• Observe and report client needs and changes
• Provide essential supplies like food and hygiene products
• Complete daily logs and maintain required documentation
Requirements:
• 3-6 months of relevant experience or equivalent education
• Valid First Aid with CPR-C certification
• Valid Food Safe Certificate is necessary
• Criminal Record Check required for vulnerable population
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
