Provide essential nursing support in mental health as a part time Registered Practical Nurse with Canadian Mental Health Association in Parry Sound. Engage in community-oriented care for older adults.
In this contract role, you will be part of a dedicated team, delivering nursing care that addresses responsive behaviors stemming from various health conditions. Your skills in psychiatric and geriatric nursing will be utilized through comprehensive assessments and tailored care plans aimed at improving client well-being. The position involves direct collaboration with stakeholders in rural settings for holistic care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct specialized nursing assessments for client care
• Create individualized care plans based on client needs
• Provide supportive counseling and education to clients and families
• Maintain clinical documentation in line with nursing standards
• Participate in training and educational initiatives
Requirements:
• Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• At least one year of experience in geriatric or mental health
• Familiarity with community mental health and nursing practices
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation for rural service
