POSITION: Technology Enabled Learning and Teaching Contact (TELTC)
FTE: 1.0
LOCATION: TBD (support is provided across the UCDSB)
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1
Summary:
Under the direction of a System Principal with responsibilities for eLearning, the TELT Contact will work to implement UCDSB initiatives related to online teaching and learning. The TELT Contact will be the primary online learning contact within the Board's elementary and secondary panels and be a liaison with the Ministry of Education's Technology Enabled Learning (TELO) team.

Responsibilities:

To work to support the District vision and goals as it pertains to the use of the Provincial Virtual Learning Environment (D2L)

To work with the eLearning Principal to provide leadership and coordination with an emphasis on eLearning and technology-enabled classroom learning using the provincial VLE

To work collaboratively t o provide day‑to‑day support, planning, and maintenance for various UCDSB online program delivery models

To support the goals of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan by collaborating with other system staff

Provide skilled learning and support for educators using the provincial VLE, including online teaching pedagogy, assessment and evaluation, and course content development.

To provide leadership in the areas of online course development and implementation to support programs such as eLearning, alternative education, and summer school.

To participate in provincial and regional meetings and related tasks with Ministry groups (TELO, TVO, etc...), D2L Support, and the Ontario eLearning Consortium

Knowledge/Skills:





Demonstrated knowledge of Ontario curriculum

Knowledge of Collaborative Inquiry and implementing effective professional learning opportunities

Awareness of UCDSB policy on assessment, evaluation, and reporting

Excellent organization, presentation, and time management skills

Effective interpersonal and team building skills

Experience in integrating technology and instructional strategies such as blended
learning

Knowledge of strategic objectives related to the Multi-Year Strategic Plan

Professional demonstration of Standards of Practice and Ethical Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession

Qualifications:

An Ontario Teachers Certificate of Qualification

Member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing

Minimum of three years teaching experience

Conditions:

Salary – grid plus travel allowance

Term – one school year, 2026/2027 (at the end of the term, returns to home school)

Travel to various sites may be required
