Serve as a Correctional Peace Officer at the Calgary Youth Attendance Centre. This on-call role focuses on community support and programming for youth offenders.
This position offers a unique opportunity to supervise and guide youths, implementing educational and recreational programs designed to foster healthy behavior and reintegration. As an integral member of the team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safe supervision of youth in the community while promoting skill development and accountability. Candidates must be flexible for varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise youth in community service and programs
• Perform curfew compliance checks in local areas
• Facilitate educational and recreational programming
• Support collaborations with community and probation partners
• Maintain a secure and respectful environment
Requirements:
• High school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience
• Unrestricted Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License
• Completion of criminal record checks required
• Valid First Aid and CPR Level-C Certification
• Physical capability to perform job duties
