Elevate Alberta’s electrical grid with AltaLink as a Power System Engineering Technologist (P.L. Eng.). This role focuses on modelling, data package preparation, and regulatory compliance to drive project success.

We are looking for a qualified Power System Engineering Technologist (P.L. Eng.) to enhance our Project Engineering team. Candidates should possess a minimum of six years of relevant engineering experience with high voltage transmission systems. Your expertise in both modeling and documentation will be crucial for system integrity and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and validate transmission modeling data packages for AESO
• Maintain accurate representations of electrical systems and models
• Generate line-impedance calculations and facility-rating reports




• Ensure adherence to AESO ISO Rules and Alberta Reliability Standards
• Collaborate on system and customer project analyses

Requirements:
• Required: Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma
• Must obtain P.L. Eng. designation; eligibility acceptable
• At least six years of related experience in engineering
• Two years of modeling experience preferred
• A focus on power systems is beneficial
