Contribute to community safety as a Household Hazardous Waste Operator with Peel Region in Brampton. This full-time position entails hazardous waste management, including public education and compliance.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will engage in the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials while educating the public on waste practices. Ideal candidates should hold a degree in Chemistry or a related field with hands-on experience in waste management and compliance. You will also act as a mentor for students in related programs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handle and store hazardous waste per regulations
• Test and analyze chemical properties of waste
• Educate the community on hazardous waste issues
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
• Assume Incident Commander role when necessary

Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in Chemistry or related area
• Minimum one year of hazardous materials experience
• Understanding of health and safety legislation
• Solid analytical and communication skills
• Valid class “G” driver's license
