Become a Sessional Officer with the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in Victoria, helping to ensure safety and access during parliamentary sessions.

The Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms is looking for diligent and courteous individuals to serve in this auxiliary, as-needed capacity. You’ll coordinate access for members and the public while assisting with security screenings and preserving the integrity of parliamentary settings. Your work schedule will be variable, based on daily needs and legislative sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate accessibility for authorized MLAs and personnel
• Conduct security screenings during House sittings
• Prepare the chamber and corridors for all events




• Uphold legislative protocols with professionalism
• Assist visitors with inquiries in a respectful manner

Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion alongside customer service experience
• Effective communication and interaction skills
• Willingness to adapt to fluctuating work hours
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly
• Must meet age and eligibility requirements to work in Canada
