The City of Edmonton seeks an ISA Certified Arborist for caring for our vital urban trees as part of our commitment to sustainability. This role will involve physical work outdoors throughout the year, including essential tasks like pruning, tree risk assessment, and community interaction. Your expertise will ensure our urban forest thrives and flourishes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain tree structure through pruning and clearance
• Respond to community tree-related concerns professionally
• Conduct safety assessments and mitigate risks
• Handle tree removal and chipping following protocols
• Keep detailed records of maintenance tasks in GIS
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience in urban tree care
• ISA Certified Arborist accreditation required
• Possession of a Class 3 driver’s licence with air brakes
• Current First Aid certification needed
• Physical fitness for demanding outdoor tasks
