Job Summary: The Senior Project Manager/Leader is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives within large organizations, with a focus on public sector and healthcare environments.
This role demands advanced project and program management expertise, solid stakeholder collaboration, and exceptional communication skills to drive digital transformation, operational excellence, and successful delivery of multi-stakeholder projects.
Responsibilities: Lead the development, maintenance, and reporting of operating plans, roadmaps, implementation plans, workback schedules, and delivery milestones aligned with organizational priorities.
Coordinate and oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment across teams, stakeholders, and vendors to achieve successful delivery and benefits realization.
Develop executive reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefing materials to communicate project status, risks, issues, and key decisions to senior leadership and governance bodies.
Facilitate governance forums, meetings, and decision-making processes, including agenda setting, action tracking, issue escalation, and follow-up activities.
Engage and coordinate cross-functional teams, external partners, vendors, clinicians, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
Manage procurement activities, vendor and consultant engagements, contract deliverables, and performance oversight.
Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies, and organizational impacts; develop mitigation plans and support change management efforts.
Coordinate performance measurement,
continuous improvement initiatives, project documentation, lessons learned, and project close-out activities.
Required Skills & Certifications: 7-10 years of progressive project/program management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Advanced expertise in project planning, scheduling, governance, risk and issue management, dependency management, resource coordination, and delivery oversight.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across executive leadership, operational teams, external partners, and vendors.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including executive briefings, presentations, status reports, dashboards, and governance materials.
Experience supporting executive, governance, and Ministry reporting with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
Experience facilitating procurement, vendor, and contract management activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with risk assessment and mitigation experience.
Experience facilitating governance forums, meetings, workshops, and tracking of actions and decisions.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Power
Point, Excel, Word, Teams, Share
Point, and Copilot.
Preferred Skills & Certifications: PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other recognized project management certification.
Experience leading complex projects or transformation initiatives within healthcare, digital health, or similarly complex public-sector environments.
Experience developing and managing operating plans, implementation roadmaps, governance processes, and performance reporting.
Experience supporting executive leadership, steering committees, governance bodies, and Ministry-facing reporting.
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills involving clinicians and health system stakeholders.
Change management and organizational readiness experience.
Experience with performance measurement, dashboards, metrics, and data-driven reporting.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools to support project planning, reporting, and executive communications.
Special Considerations: Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
Experience working in public sector or healthcare environments preferred, which may involve compliance with specific governance and reporting standards.
Role may require coordination across diverse teams including external vendors, clinicians, and government stakeholders.
Scheduling: Standard full-time work schedule with potential requirements for flexible hours to accommodate governance meetings, stakeholder engagements, and project deadlines.
