We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Tottenham, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis.

This position supports day-to-day financial operations by ensuring records are accurate, transactions are processed promptly, and reporting activities stay on schedule.

The successful candidate will contribute across receivables, payables, reconciliations, and period-end tasks while working closely with internal teams to maintain solid financial controls.

Responsibilities: Apply incoming customer payments accurately and investigate account variances to keep receivable balances current.

Track overdue balances, communicate with customers regarding outstanding amounts, and support timely collection efforts.

Review invoices, expense submissions, and petty cash claims for accuracy, proper coding, and required authorization before processing.





Prepare vendor disbursements in line with established payment timelines and maintain accurate payable records.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, customer ledgers, and supplier statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with month-end and year-end activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid adjustments, and closing support.

Prepare sales tax and non-resident tax filings and contribute to quarterly audit documentation as needed.

Maintain organized accounting records, support daily banking and cash management activities, and complete ad hoc financial reports or special projects.
