Ops Project Manager Job Type: Full Time Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Onsite Job Description We are seeking an experienced Dev
Ops Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of complex Dev
Ops and technology initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience combined with a practical understanding of Dev
Ops, software delivery, CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and enterprise technology environments .
The successful candidate will coordinate multiple squads and cross-functional teams, manage delivery plans and dependencies, drive governance, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule with clear ownership, risk management, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of complex Dev
Ops initiatives from mobilization through implementation, rollout, stabilization, and handoff.
Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans covering milestones, dependencies, environments, testing, approvals, communications, and operational readiness.
Coordinate delivery across Dev
Ops, infrastructure, cloud, security, Service
Now, application, data, platform, QA, and support teams.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, Engineers, Quality Engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
Establish project governance, meeting cadence, decision paths, delivery controls, and escalation mechanisms.
Manage project scope, schedule, resources, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and changes.
Drive action closure and proactively resolve delivery gaps, resource constraints, environment or access blockers, and integration dependencies.
Coordinate test planning, UAT, production-readiness reviews,
implementation activities, and post-implementation validation.
Prepare executive-level status reports covering progress, milestones, forecasts, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and recovery actions.
Coordinate stakeholder communications, demonstrations, readiness activities, support planning, and adoption activities.
Ensure project deliverables, decisions, processes, and operational ownership are properly documented and transitioned.
Apply lessons learned and continuous-improvement practices to improve delivery predictability and reduce operational risks.
Required Skills & Experience Strong project management experience delivering complex technology initiatives across multiple squads and enterprise teams.
Demonstrated experience with Dev
Ops, software delivery, CI/CD, developer platforms, security controls, source-code management, or engineering enablement initiatives.
Practical understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, including source repositories, build pipelines, security scanning, deployment orchestration, approvals, environments, and production support.
Strong experience creating integrated project plans, managing critical paths, dependencies, milestones, and cross-team deliverables.
Excellent risk, issue, dependency, change, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to communicate technical delivery details and business impacts clearly to senior leadership.
Strong facilitation, written communication, executive reporting, organization, and follow-through skills.
Experience working in matrixed environments with teams that may not report directly to the Project Manager.
Self-directed, pragmatic, and outcome-focused with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous or evolving initiatives.
Technical / Dev
Ops Experience Strong understanding of standard Dev
Ops tools, practices, and enterprise CI/CD pipelines .
Experience with tools such as Bitbucket, Git
Hub, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Service
Now, Checkmarx One, Snyk, Kosli, Grafana, and Tableau .
Experience coordinating security-control implementation, vulnerability management, compliance evidence, exception processes, release gating, and production-readiness activities.
Experience with application inventories, repository metadata, data reconciliation, database updates, dashboards, ETL processes, and data-quality remediation.
Experience coordinating releases across Development, Stage, and Production environments.
Experience with technical testing, business validation, implementation, and post-implementation verification.
Experience with Jira and/or Planview Agile
Place .
Preferred Qualifications Project Management certification or formal Agile delivery training is an asset.
Experience managing enterprise Dev
Ops transformation or engineering-enablement initiatives.
Solid knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and enterprise governance practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and complex technical dependencies simultaneously.
