The Custodian/Watchman reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing cleanliness and security at the facility. Key responsibilities include routine custodial tasks, maintaining the building's safety, and monitoring grounds for issues. The role also involves immediate response to any emergency incidents, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure cleanliness of common areas and facilities
• Conduct routine inspections for safety and maintenance
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks




• Monitor grounds and report issues as required
• Provide immediate assistance during emergencies
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Familiarity with Mi’gmaq language and culture is an asset
• Must provide a Criminal Background Check
• Respect confidentiality and dignity of residents
