The Youth Supportive Housing Worker plays a vital role in the Bright Mindz Program, engaging with young individuals who have faced homelessness or housing instability. This role entails developing cooperative support plans, offering life skills training, and advocating for youth in need of community resources. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement support plans tailored to individual needs
• Educate clients in key life skills and self-management
• Foster connections with community and health services
• Provide crisis intervention and ensure client safety
• Document client progress and program activities accurately
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education minimum; social service diploma is a plus
• Clear Criminal Records Check in vulnerable sector
• Previous youth work experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and mediate conflicts
• Understanding of Harm Reduction strategies essential
