Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency is hiring a part-time Land Based Facilitator to deliver essential Woodland Cree teachings in a camp setting. This contract role emphasizes cultural education and hands-on learning.

As a Land Based Facilitator, you will provide invaluable teachings to the community members of Montreal Lake 106A and Little Red 106B, focusing on skills necessary for self-sustainability. With over five years of experience in traditional practices, you will guide participants through wilderness activities, sharing your knowledge of hunting, fishing, and other survival skills. Knowledge of Woodland Cree culture is crucial for creating an enriching learning setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach traditional land-based skills and practices




• Lead hands-on wilderness activities and ensure safety
• Share cultural knowledge with community relatives
• Be a positive role model in the learning process
• Maintain confidentiality and respect community values

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in traditional practices
• Strong understanding of Woodland Cree customs
• Valid drivers license with reliable vehicle access
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
