As part of the ASSET Team within the UBCO School of Engineering, you will play a vital role in large-scale structural testing projects. This position combines technical skills in fabrication, assembly, and lab safety, while interacting with students and researchers to refine testing methodologies and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement large-scale experiments for structural systems
• Assemble, test, and maintain laboratory equipment
• Fabricate necessary structural components accurately
• Offer technical support and training to students
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols
Requirements:
• Degree in engineering or related technical field
• Four years of relevant laboratory experience
• Experience in structural steel and concrete fabrication
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical testing equipment
