Gillfor Distribution is seeking an existing position of a Warehouse/Yard Supervisor to join our branch in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

As part of our Lumber Yard team at our Dartmouth Distribution Centre, you will work in a team environment reporting directly to our Division Manager .

You will be responsible for efficiently managing the warehouse and yard as well as directing and supervising yard staff to reach daily goals.

This is a full time position at our Dartmouth location.

Expectations: Supervise and assist the following yard activities: L oading and unloading of building materials in a safe and timely manner L oading orders onto customer trucks Receiving incoming freight Periodic inventory counts (quarterly)



and spot checks Maintain a tidy and organized lumber yard and warehouse Compliance with all work safety rules and regulations Politeness and professionalism with all customers and truck drivers Supervise and assist the loading and unloading of building materials operating a forklift Preparation and packing of customer orders in a timely and detailed manner Ideal Attributes: High School Diploma Forklift Training and Experience Required Minimum of two years managing/supervising a lumber yard and/or warehouse experience is a definite asset Ability to lift up to 80 pounds if necessary Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset Able to work in outdoor conditions Flexibility with start and finish times Reliable and punctual Self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision Additional Information: Group Benefit Plan available (Employer paid) RRSP Contribution available Competitive compensation packages available Discretionary bonus option is available Opportunities for advancement within the company Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Compensation: $25-$30 per hour, 45 hours per week excluding lunch breaks Gillfor Distribution is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
