Take on a vital role at the North West Friendship Centre as a Mental Wellness Coordinator dedicated to Indigenous populations. Provide culturally sensitive mental health services across the community.

In this coordinator role, you will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy sessions that respect cultural practices. Additionally, you will guide clients toward external resources and facilitate connections with traditional healers. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out detailed assessments of mental health needs
• Create personalized treatment plans integrating traditional healing




• Provide group and individual therapy sessions to clients
• Facilitate access to traditional ceremonies and elder support
• Lead workshops on stress management and healthy lifestyles

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in psychology or counseling preferred
• Experience with Indigenous communities is highly valued
• Profound understanding of Indigenous cultural traditions

Support the mental health journey of Indigenous clients by merging traditional wisdom with therapeutic interventions.
