Support youth and their families in Kanata as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner at WOCRC. This versatile, on-call position focuses on empowering youth ages 12-26 through community engagement and program implementation.

In this role, you will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to address youth issues. You’ll develop and facilitate workshops aimed at enhancing life skills and building community capacity. Availability for shifts during evenings, weekends, and short notice is crucial to meet program needs and respond effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Engage at-risk youth and assess their needs
• Develop and implement mentoring programs
• Facilitate community forums related to youth support




• Support volunteer initiatives and oversee volunteer activities
• Keep accurate records for program evaluation

Requirements:
• Diploma in Child and Youth Care or similar
• Minimum 1 year experience working with youth
• Solid background in group facilitation
• Knowledge of challenges facing LGBTQ+ youth
• Proficient in English communication skills
