Job Description Help Shape the Future of Levack Mine! Magna Mining is looking for an experienced Chief Mine Geologist to lead mine geology at Levack Mine.

This is a senior technical leadership role with a direct connection to day-to-day mining leading the geological work behind ore control, resource definition, reconciliation, and production decisions while working closely with Operations, Engineering, Exploration, and Metallurgy.

Were looking for a practical, experienced geological leader who understands the orebody, knows underground mining, and can lead a robust technical team.

What Youll Be Doing Youll have the opportunity to: Oversee grade control, geological mapping, orebody interpretation, reconciliation, and resource definition.

Oversee geological mapping, core logging, and sampling in underground workings and drill cores.

Ensure timely and accurate ore control models to support daily, weekly, and monthly mine planning.

Manage ore mark-ups and provide geological guidance to Operations to minimize dilution and maximize ore recovery.

Collaborate with Exploration teams on near-mine drilling programs.

Provide input into drilling design, core logging, QA/QC, and geological modelling.

Maintain up-to-date 3D geological models reflecting the current understanding of mineralization.

Support resource estimation updates and reconciliation.





Lead monthly production reconciliation between the mine, plant, and resource model.

Report on geological performance, ore quality, and team KPIs.

Identify and implement improvements to geological processes and technologies.

Work with Mine Planning, Engineering, and Metallurgy to optimize resource extraction.

Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Supervise and mentor mine technical services support staff.

Requirements Who Were Looking For You might be a great fit if you: Hold a Bachelors degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.

Hold a Professional Geoscientist (P.

Geo.) designation in Ontario, or are eligible to obtain one.

Bring 8+ years of underground mine geology experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

Have expertise in geological modelling software, such as Datamine.

Bring strong leadership and communication skills.

Have a solid understanding of underground mining methods.

Understand regulatory frameworks and safety practices in underground mining.

Bring experience with budgeting, cost control, and project management.

Requirements Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents Bachelors degree in Geology or Earth Science or another related field.

Professional Geoscientist of Ontario certification or eligibility for certification is required.

Work Experience: Nature & Length 8 or more years of experience in underground mine geology. 3 or more years in a leadership role.

Key Competencies: Behaviours & Skills Expertise in geological modeling software (e.g., Datamine).

Effective leadership and communication skills.

Sound knowledge of underground mining methods.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and safety practices in underground mining.

Budgeting, cost control, and project management expertise.
