Your Role

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Assistant Shipping & Receiving Foreperson supports the daily coordination of shipping and receiving activities. This role helps ensure smooth operations, compliance with procedures, inventory accuracy, and the achievement of departmental objectives.

Your Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and support shipping activities;

- Ensure compliance with deadlines, procedures, and quality standards;

- Manage inventory levels in the shipping picking area;

- Monitor and manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory;

- Perform physical inventory verification and ensure data accuracy;

- Confirm container arrivals and plan incoming shipments;

- Improve the organization and accuracy of product locations;

- Support shipping employees and provide coverage as needed;

- Collaborate with carriers and external suppliers;

- Manage shipping documentation, including delivery slips,



transportation documents, and shipment tracking;

- Participate in the training of new employees within the department;

- Follow company policies, procedures, and standards;

- Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations;

- Perform other related duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

- Excellent command of French;

- Functional English skills to communicate with carriers and various stakeholders;

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;

- Proficiency with computer systems, including Excel, ERP systems, and inventory management software;

- Excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility;

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;

- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;

- Attention to detail and commitment to following procedures;

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required Experience

- Two (4) years of relevant experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, or inventory management; or

- College-level education in logistics or a related field; or

- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
