School District #49 (Central Coast) seeks a qualified Learning Assistance Resource Teacher for a temporary role at Sir Alexander Mackenzie School. Support diverse learners and foster an inclusive classroom environment. This position, starting September 21, 2026, targets educators with specialized training in inclusive education and a collaborative spirit.

You will leverage your knowledge of formative assessments and innovative teaching strategies to assist students with varied learning needs, including chronic health conditions and English Language Learners. Structure classroom support through IEPs while working alongside parents and other educators. Key Responsibilities:

- Administer assessments and interpret results




- Design and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs)
- Facilitate a collaborative learning environment
- Use effective research-based teaching methods
- Provide direct support to students and teachers Requirements:
- Experience in inclusive education settings
- BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate or eligibility
- Expertise in working with diverse learners
- Solid organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of Indigenous World Views Support the learning journey of students at School District #49 and make a lasting impact.
