**_Overview_**
We have an exciting contract opportunity to join our global EPC client as a Lead Cost Control.
**_Responsibilities_**
Develop and implement a project controls plan as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for the project execution
Plan and organize the setup of project baseline in Fluor's project controls system, and implement a plan to track against the baseline on a regular basis
Develop cost, schedule, and commercial baseline
Responsible for providing technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching to a team of Project Controls specialists
Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
Supervise the implementation of Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract
Supervise and manage the change management process
Manage the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provide status reporting
Lead the proposal efforts for cost/scheduling activities
Interpret contract conditions to ensure compliance
Develop and deliver training programs in Project Controls systems and methods
Maintain familiarity with the functionality of Fluor's automated cost management system and planning and scheduling system
Provide meaningful, accurate historical data
Lead the project control team
Participate in the development and implementation of training courses and mentoring of Project Controls personnel
May fill the role of office Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a specific task or range of tasks
Serve as a Project Controls Manager on a Project or in a Lead Cost or Schedule position on a project
Coordinate internal and external audits
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
May need to travel to attend to business related matters
Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
Other duties as assigned
**_Qualifications_**
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and fifteen (15)
years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nineteen (19) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
