**Job Title: General Laborer – Construction Site Cleanup**
**Job Description**
This short-term general labor position supports a multi-family construction project by performing thorough site cleanup and material removal.

You will work floor by floor and unit by unit to clear leftover construction materials, maintain safe and organized work areas, and assist with basic tasks on an active construction site near Olds Alberta.
**Responsibilities**
Move systematically floor by floor and unit by unit to clean up construction materials left from framing, mechanical, and electrical trades.

Collect and remove leftover studs, wiring, cable, pipe, and other construction debris from work areas.

Sweep and tidy general site areas to maintain a clean, secure, and organized environment.

Vacuum designated areas that are critical for access or ongoing work, ensuring they remain clear and safe.

Use basic hand tools and power tools safely to assist with cleanup and material handling as required.

Follow daily task assignments from the site superintendent and complete them independently once directed.

Work collaboratively with a small team of laborers to coordinate cleanup activities across the project.

Adhere to all site safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment at all times.

Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or obstacles to the site superintendent promptly.

Maintain a professional attitude on an active construction site and respect all project guidelines and procedures.
**Essential Skills**
Experience with general construction site cleanup, including sweeping and debris removal.

Experience using hand tools in a construction or similar environment.

Experience using power tools safely and effectively.

Ability to work independently once daily tasks are assigned.

Comfort working on an active construction site with ongoing trades and activities.

Reliable vehicle for consistent transportation to and from the job site.

Previous experience supporting multi-family or large-scale construction projects.

Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing work areas.

Ability to follow directions from a site superintendent and adapt to changing priorities.

**Work Environment**
You will work on a 63-unit multi-family construction project as part of a team of three general laborers, reporting to the on-site superintendent.

This is an active construction site environment with multiple trades present and ongoing work throughout the building.

The assignment is short-term, with an anticipated minimum of three days of work, and runs on a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Standard construction personal protective equipment is required at all times, including items such as hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest, and other site-specific gear.

You are expected to work safely around construction materials, hand tools, and power tools, and to manage your tasks independently once they are assigned for the day.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
