**Job Title: Forklift Operator (Receiver)**
**Job Description**
This role supports a busy cookie manufacturing facility by safely operating various powered industrial vehicles and managing the accurate receiving, inspection, and storage of inbound materials.

You will verify incoming shipments, maintain inventory accuracy through the warehouse management system, and uphold strict food safety and GMP standards in a high-volume production environment.
**Responsibilities**
Receive inbound shipments and inspect products for accuracy, quality, and damage.

Verify packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders against received goods to ensure correct quantities and items.

Operate sit-down and stand-up counterbalance forklifts, as well as other powered industrial vehicles, safely and efficiently.

Scan and enter inventory data into warehouse management or ERP systems to maintain accurate stock records.

Identify and document discrepancies in shipments and coordinate with suppliers or internal teams to resolve issues.

Maintain organized staging areas, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of materials.

Support cycle counts and inventory audits, assisting with root-cause analysis for inventory variances.

Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE use, load securement, and completion of equipment inspections.

Handle and move materials, including lifting items up to 50 lbs as needed.

Assist with packing and material handling tasks to support production and warehouse operations.

Work flexibly across different shifts, including weekend nights and other assigned days during the week, as required by operational needs.
**Essential Skills**
Proven experience operating sit-down and stand-up counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently.

Valid powered industrial vehicle (PIV) license with at least one year of experience on sit-down/stand-up counterbalance, walkie/rider, or reach truck equipment.

Demonstrated experience in receiving and inspecting inbound shipments for accuracy and quality.

Ability to verify packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders against received goods.

Strong computer skills with the ability to use warehouse management or ERP systems for scanning and entering inventory data.

Experience supporting cycle counts, inventory audits, and investigating inventory variances.

Capability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.

Familiarity working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment, particularly in food manufacturing.

Ability to follow safety protocols, including PPE use, load securement, and equipment inspections.

Flexibility to work a 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM shift and to adjust to day shift and weekend work as required.

Availability to work weekend night shifts and be flexible for two additional days during the week (day, afternoon, or night).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience using SAP or an equivalent warehouse management system.

Previous work in a consumer packaged goods environment.

Background, in packing and material handling within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.





Comfort working in a high-volume production facility with approximately 100 production workers.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory management.

Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, production, and quality teams.

**Work Environment**

You will work alongside approximately 100 production workers in a busy, fast-paced setting that runs weekend night shifts and requires flexibility for additional day, afternoon, or night shifts during the week.

The facility uses various powered industrial vehicles, including sit-down and stand-up counterbalance forklifts, walkie/riders, and reach trucks, as well as warehouse management or ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.

Personal protective equipment is mandatory; hair nets, smocks, safety shoes, and ear protection must be worn in production and warehouse areas.

The role involves regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, working around active production lines, and maintaining strict cleanliness and safety standards in all work areas.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
