This position is part of Pricing Actuarial team reporting to the Actuarial Specialist, Pricing.
The team is responsible for evaluating the profitability of existing insurance products and assessing the financial viability of recent product initiatives for TD Life Insurance Company.
Key responsibilities include: Analyzing and monitoring product profitability to support pricing and business decisions.
Developing recommendations relating to domestic reinsurance arrangements.
Providing monthly premium and claims projections for creditor insurance products underwritten by third-party insurers.
Acting as an actuarial consultant to the various lines of businesses by assessing the impact of proposed product and process changes and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Actuarial Analyst will report directly to the Actuarial Specialist, Pricing, TD Life Insurance Company.
Key Accountabilities include (but not limited to):
Assist with preparation end of treaty reinsurance true up packages.
Assist with preparation of reinsurance treaty yearly renewal packages.
Support the Actuary on claims experience analyses & monitoring.
Assist with the review and update of business Policies and Procedures in accordance with review cycles.
Support the TDRB team with ad-hoc requests and other deliverables.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
Currently enrolled in an
**undergraduate degree**
in Actuarial Sciences, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field.
Has passed at least 2 actuarial exams in the SOA/CIA track.
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.
Working knowledge of or willingness to learn Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power
Point and collaborative software such as Web
Ex and MS Teams
Required Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and/or independently
Effective written and verbal communication skills

This position is a 4-month work term and will commence Jan 4th – April 23rd, 2027.
