**Job Title: Production Worker**
**Job Description**
Join a growing manufacturing operation as a Production Worker, contributing to the fabrication of metal and plastic products used in display units for major retail brands across North America.

You will work in a highly dynamic production environment where jobs and stations change daily, operating a variety of machines and performing repetitive tasks with precision, consistency, and attention to detail.

This role involves supporting welders and fabricators, working in both metal and plastic departments, and handling tasks such as cutting, crimping, sanding, deburring, assembly, packaging, and general material handling.
**Responsibilities**
Rotate daily between different production stations and tasks based on order requirements and workflow needs.

Operate up to 20 different machines, including welding-related equipment, crimping machines, tube cutters, and sanding machines, following instructions and established procedures.

Work in the plastic or steel area of the shop to support production activities, including deburring steel, moving product around the floor, and boxing finished production.

Support welders by placing racks or components into fixtures, stepping on foot pedals to operate welding machines, and repeating these operations consistently for order quantities ranging from 20 to 200 pieces.

Feed metal sheets into crimping machines, operate foot pedals to create bends in metal, and repeat operations according to order volumes.

Set up angles on tube cutter machines as directed, place metal pipes on the machine, and use a saw to cut pipes accurately and safely.

Use sanding machines and belt sanders to smooth and finish edges of metal tubes, ensuring clean and consistent results.

Move parts from welding stations to designated areas for preparation and shipment, maintaining an organized flow of materials.

Assist welders and other production staff by moving parts around the floor, staging materials, and ensuring components are available at workstations.

Use power tools and hand tools to clean up machined parts, remove burrs, and prepare components for assembly or shipment.

Count products accurately to ensure correct quantities are packaged and shipped, avoiding over- or under-counting.

Perform assembly tasks by pulling small plastic parts off machines, stacking them neatly, and placing them into boxes for shipment.

Follow basic schematics and work orders to complete tasks correctly, ensuring that parts are produced and assembled according to specifications.

Participate in general labor tasks such as lifting, loading, cleaning, and organizing production areas as needed.

Work safely at all times by following manufacturing safety procedures and guidelines, particularly when using power tools, hand tools, and production machinery.

Maintain self-motivation and a strong work ethic while performing repetitive tasks, taking initiative to stay productive and support team goals.

Collaborate with team members in both metal and plastic departments to meet production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.

Support packaging, assembly line, and general production activities as required, including packing, loading, and preparing products for shipment.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment (metal, plastic, or woodworking) or in a construction labour position.

Proficiency using hand tools and power tools, with the ability to handle them confidently and safely.

Ability to read and follow basic schematics and work orders to complete tasks accurately.

Strong counting skills and attention to detail to ensure correct quantities are packaged and shipped.

Ability to remain self-motivated and productive while performing repetitive work, demonstrating initiative and reliability.

Capability to lift up to 45 lbs as part of regular duties, including moving materials and finished products.

Experience working in a production, manufacturing,



or general labour environment, including tasks such as assembly, cutting metal, drilling, packaging, and cleaning.

Comfort working with metal, plastic, and general production machinery in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting welders, machine operators, and other production staff.

Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to long-term employment and growth within the organization.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with familiarity in production processes, workflows, and safety procedures.

Experience in construction, woodworking, or plastics industries, providing transferable skills for metal and plastic fabrication.

Experience operating production machinery such as table saws, drills, tube cutters, sanding machines, and other shop equipment.

Forklift experience or certification, with the potential to advance into roles that require forklift operation.
in general construction, loading, and general labour, including tasks such as packing, assembly line work, and material handling.

Experience working with tape measures, power tools, and hand tools in a production or construction setting.

Comfort working in a production environment with multiple machines and repetitive tasks, maintaining focus and quality.

**Work Environment**
The production facility is a closed indoor environment with more than 20 different machines operating on the shop floor.

Approximately 35 employees work in two main departments: Metal and Plastics, each with around 15–20 people including labourers, machine operators, fabricators, and welders.

The operation focuses on manufacturing metal and plastic components used in display units for well-known retail brands across North America.

You will work primarily on the second shift, Monday to Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with the possibility of training on day shift as needed.

The environment is a busy production floor where you will regularly use power tools, hand tools, table saws, drills, tube cutters, sanding machines, and other manufacturing equipment.

Dress code requires long pants or shorts appropriate for a manufacturing setting, along with suitable footwear and safety gear as required.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.42 - $22.42/hr.
