Hello! My name is Angela, and I am a Recruitment Consultant at Fed Supply, a specialized recruitment agency focused on supply chain, logistics, transportation, and customer service. We recruit for both temporary and permanent positions throughout the Greater Montreal Area. Mission Reporting to the Distribution & Shipping Manager, the Import / Export Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and serves as the main point of contact for customs-related activities and export documentation.This position is based in a manufacturing environment within the aerospace industry, where shipments are primarily destined for the United States.Key ResponsibilitiesCustoms & Trade Compliance- Prepare all required documentation for international shipments (Bills of Lading, packing lists, certificates, and other export documents).- Ensure shipments comply with customs regulations and international trade requirements.- Complete export declarations, manage required permits, and validate HS Codes and Incoterms.- Serve as the primary contact for customs brokers, carriers, and government authorities.- Stay up to date on applicable import/export regulations and trade compliance requirements.Shipping Coordination- Coordinate international shipments with internal teams and logistics partners.- Manage priorities, urgent requests, and delivery-related issues,
particularly during month-end peak periods.- Support the shipping team and provide backup coverage during employee absences.Processes & Administration- Contribute to the continuous improvement and compliance of shipping procedures.- Process shipping invoices, credit notes, and ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded.- Maintain records and documentation related to import and export activities. Your profile QualificationsEducation & Experience- 1-3 years of experience in import/export, international logistics, or transportation.- Experience with exports to the United States and customs documentation.- Manufacturing experience is considered an asset.Technical Skills- Good knowledge of Canadian export regulations, U.S. customs requirements, Incoterms, and HS Codes.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.Soft Skills- Solid organizational skills, autonomy, and a proactive approach.- Ability to manage priorities, urgent requests, and fluctuating workloads.- Team-oriented with solid problem-solving skills.Languages- Bilingual in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with logistics partners, customs brokers, and international government authorities.Working Conditions- Permanent, full-time position (39 hours per week).- Day shift, Monday to Friday.- 100% on-site position.- Salary: $60,000 to $70,000, based on experience.
