Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking a Warehouse Person for our Nanaimo, BC location (1950 East Wellington Road).

Please note - our work setting is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Running overhead crane and forklift
- Picking and packaging material according to customer specifications




- Operation of saw equipment and various other machinery types
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Performing daily preventative maintenance
- Ensuring quality customer service
- Able to perform some heavy lifting
- Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational, quality and health and safety)

Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent (those with experience in the industry will also be given consideration)
- Able to work shift work. (Days, Afternoons, or Nights as required)
- Previous forklift and overhead crane experience is considered an asset
- Able to perform some heavy lifting (at least 50 lbs.), bending over to hook up loads, standing for periods of time, and climbing
- Good knowledge of math and measurements
- Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated, results oriented

Hourly Rate: $32.15 ($38.16 after one year)
