This is an opportunity for a structural steel Welder/Fabricator.

Job Responsibilities:

· Interpret engineered drawings to weld/fabricate a variety of custom steel and metal structures.

· Weld/Fabricate large structures, Beams and columns.

· Working safely with all standard tooling and machinery in the fabrication industry.

· Possess a high standard of quality and be able to fit to tight tolerances.

· Must be able to work effectively and efficiently.

· Operate machinery: forklifts, overhead crane, ironworker, bandsaw, welding machines, drills, torches, etc

Required Skills

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawing specifications, structural drawings, and welding symbols.

· Execute skillful clean continuous welds using MIG welding

· Knowledge of standard concepts, welding codes, practices, and procedures within the structural steel Industry

· Proficient with forklift, overhead crane,



ironworker, bandsaw, welding machines, drills, torches

· Knowledge and adherence to Health and Safety procedures

· Rigging skills to move large and heavy materials

· Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures

· Construct patterns and templates

· Install fabricated components and leave worksite clean

Qualifications:

· CWB Certified for MCAW / FCAW

· Valid BC Driver’s License

Certified forklift operator and First Aid Level One is an asset

Own Tools/Equipment:

· PPE including steel-toed safety boots, hardhat, and welding mask

Our Hours are 6:30am to 3:00pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
