DESCRIPTION

What you will do:

- Responsible for managing and developing accounts which are identified as high growth/high potential or strategic for Fisher BioServices
- Responsible for identification and winning of new clinical trials supplies business within each account and maintaining business development oversight on existing studies
- Continuous client relationship development and coordination with internal teams to deliver performance and drive Quarterly Business Review Meetings
- Maximising Subject Matter Experts potential and leveraging all Fisher BioServices be delivered into each client
- Ownership and management to deliver quotes which show value proposition and most efficient solution for the client
- Meet new sales objectives and deliver on targets set for new business
- Actively work with the operational teams in both the client and Fisher BioServices to protect existing business and mitigate any risk to new business by engaging with senior management to explore innovative solutions
- Account Development planning. Analysis of client's clinical trial pipelines to assess the potential demands that the clients may have for clinical trials, storage, kitting, etc. The job holder needs to be able to gain knowledge of the outsourcing strategy of the assigned clients and develop short / medium and long term strategies that result in maximising the opportunities to provide the clients with the Fisher BioServices value proposition
- Assessment of clinical protocol and other client supplied study specifications and information in conjunction with Project Management, Proposals-Contracting Group, and other FBS functions to help design Supply Chain solutions that meet clients' requirements. Overall responsibility for the provision of on time,



high quality quotes that present the optimum clinical supply chain solution for the client whilst maximising the financial return to Fisher Bio Services
- Responsible for leading the process of winning new business. This may include leadership at the bid defence meeting, pricing negotiation, contracts management etc. The role will be accountable for meeting new business targets/AOP
- Project handover – responsible for handing new business over to the service delivery groups / project management/client services
- Reporting – provision of account status reports as required on a local or global basis as appropriate. Provides regular and structured 2 way communication between the client and our internal FBS team. Ensure FBS team representation is provided to the client and appropriate expectations are set. Ensure client servicing standards are met and report any deficiencies
- Leading discussions with the operations team and the client to ensure that forecast for new and ongoing work is planned and managed efficiently to meet client expectations and deadlines
- Continuous improvement – identification of opportunities for improvement of quality and service with client group, formulation and implementation of action plans for continuous improvement
- Reports formally on account status indicating strength and progress in the client relationship, clearly identifying strategies and appropriate supporting actions-quarterly or monthly as required
- Understanding dynamics within each client and being able to influence decisions based on established relationships
- Cultivate and prospect new relationships within the account and new clients to strengthen our connections. Identify the roles of each contact and target communications specifically to their needs. Identify the key decision makers
- Other tasks / duties that may be required in order to perform the role
- Ability to travel up to 50% or as needed

REQUIREMENTS

- Internal: All functions within FBS with strong emphasis on quotes, client services, project management, and the larger PSG organization
- External: Heads of drug / clinical development, clinical project managers, Clinical supplies groups, planning, QA, purchasing functions and contracts groups at sponsor companies (Pharma and Biotech) as well as other third party providers
- Significant individual and group client interaction

Minimum Qualifications:





- Degree Level or Equivalent in relevant subject or demonstrable relevant business experience and/or Project Management experience
- Finance/business training desirable
- The job holder needs to have knowledge of the current drug development process and in particular the processes of clinical materials supply chain management. This should include knowledge of planning techniques, manufacturing, packaging, storage and distribution technology and operations in GMP environments

Preferred Qualifications:

- Teamwork especially in a matrix management organisation. Ability to influence across functions across ThermoFisher sites and across companies to achieve objectives
- Proven networking skills – must be able to network internally across all functions and externally with client organizations' and other service providers
- Must be able to influence and be credible at a senior level within ThermoFisher and client
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the business and able to work with counterparts within FBS across the globe to achieve business objectives
- Good communication skills both internally and externally. Ability to understand clients' requirements and to be able to devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions. Demonstrated problem solving with keen analytical skills. Capable of identifying and escalating issues
- Self-motivated and goal focused to achieve results. Is capable of working with autonomy and assessing when to involve management/support. Works well under pressure and can handle stressful or conflict situations well
- Detail oriented, with strong planning capability yet flexibility to recognise when need to adjust course/try another approach. Resourceful and persistent
