We’re looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our lively, fast-moving brokerage. This isn’t a quiet corner-office, “keep your head down and enter numbers” kind of job. We work hard, move quickly, solve problems, laugh a lot, and occasionally have five things happening at once.

You’ll need to be able to keep up.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be an important part of keeping our financial world organized, accurate and running smoothly.

Your days may include

- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processing invoices, payments, deposits and transactions
- Performing regular bank and account reconciliations
- Entering and maintaining financial information accurately
- Supporting bookkeeping and preparing financial reports
- Assisting with payroll processing
- Reviewing accounts and investigating discrepancies or anything that just doesn't look right
- Assisting with budgeting and financial reporting
- Working with our accounting and brokerage software systems
- Helping keep our financial records clean, current and audit-ready
- Working with the team to solve problems and keep things moving

And yes… sometimes the numbers will not cooperate. We expect you to figure out why. Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Lone Wolf or similar software is important. You don't need to know every system on day one. You do need to be comfortable with technology, willing to learn, and confident enough to ask questions when you don't know something.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Previous accounting, bookkeeping or finance experience
- Experience with AP/AR and account reconciliation
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information professionally
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
