Techfleet is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Electronics Repair Technician to join our growing repair team.

This position is focused on advanced diagnostics, board-level repair, and microsoldering of smartphones, tablets, computers, laptops, and gaming consoles. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys troubleshooting difficult hardware issues, understands electronics at the component level, and can confidently diagnose problems that go beyond basic part replacement.

You'll work in a fast-paced repair environment where technical skill, attention to detail, efficiency, and customer service are all important.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced hardware and board-level issues in smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and gaming consoles
- Perform microsoldering and component-level repairs on logic boards and circuit boards
- Diagnose and repair charging circuits, USB/USB-C/Lightning ports, HDMI, power management, display circuits, audio, connectivity, and other board-level issues
- Troubleshoot no-power, boot-loop, charging, data connection, liquid damage, intermittent, and other complex hardware failures
- Use schematics, boardviews, multimeters, DC power supplies, microscopes, thermal tools, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Identify faulty components and determine the root cause of failures rather than relying solely on part replacement
- Replace and repair connectors, ICs, capacitors, resistors, filters, coils, MOSFETs, and other electronic components
- Safely disassemble and reassemble a variety of consumer electronics
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and quality
- Perform thorough quality-control testing after repairs to ensure devices are fully functional
- Maintain detailed documentation of diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts used
- Stay current with new devices, technologies,



repair techniques, and board-level troubleshooting methods
- Assist other technicians with difficult diagnostics and complex repairs when required
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding diagnostics, repair recommendations, costs, and timelines
- Explain technical issues and repair options to customers in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
- Assist with customer intake, device check-ins, estimates, and other front-counter duties when needed
- Help with general shop operations including inventory, cleaning, organizing, device testing, and other tasks as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment

Requirements
- Proven experience in advanced electronics repair, microsoldering, or board-level repair
- Strong experience repairing smartphones, computers, tablets, gaming consoles, or similar consumer electronics
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits and component-level troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and boardviews
- Experience using a microscope, multimeter, DC power supply, soldering iron, hot air station, and other electronics repair equipment
- Strong soldering and microsoldering skills, including working with small SMD components and ICs
- Ability to diagnose complex faults and determine the root cause of a device failure
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and common hardware failure points
- Experience with game console repairs, including HDMI, power, USB, and board-level issues, is an asset
- Experience with smartphone repairs,



including Apple, Samsung, and other major brands, is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable speaking directly with customers and explaining technical issues without unnecessary technical jargon
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with other technicians
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist with general shop tasks when needed
- Commitment to quality, proper documentation, and safe repair practices

This position is best suited for a technician who wants to work beyond basic screen and battery replacements and is comfortable working at the board and component level.
