JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, the Part-Time Adult Learning Director at Louis Riel Institute provides strategic leadership and guidance for the Adult Learning Centre's educational programs. This role involves managing key administrative functions, maintaining compliance with relevant standards, and creating a supportive environment for adult learners. This role focuses on program development, policy implementation, and staff support to ensure the delievery of impactful educational services that reflect Métis culture and values.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Administrative:

- Provide leadership and guideance to Adult Learning Centre staff in alignment with LRI's mission and goals.
- Oversee administrative functions for teachers such as scheduling and timesheets.
- Monitor and report on program performance, identifying opportunities for continuuous improvement.

1. Policy, Planning, and Reporting:

- Contribute to policy development and planning.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Managing Director.

3.Program and Curriculum Development

- Coordinate and support instructional planning and curriculum development among teaching staff.
- Review and adapt content to meet diverse student needs and improve program quality.

1. Community Engagement and Resource Management





- Promote Red River Métis culture and inclusion in all educational activities and outreach efforts.
- Facilitate a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for adult students.

Qualifications:

- Must be a provincially certified teacher (Bachelor of Education and Manitoba permanent qualified teaching certificate).
- Damonstrated leadership experience in adult education, program coordination, or school administration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Understanding of and respect for Métis culture and values.
- Srong problem-soloving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management.
- Must hold valid criminal records and child abuse registry checks.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $41.72 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 18.0 per week
