Analytics Engineer

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join a growing data team in Toronto.

This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining reliable data transformation pipelines, scalable data models, and trusted data assets that support analytics, reporting, and data science.

What you’ll be doing:

- Develop and optimize data transformation pipelines using dbt

- Build and maintain scalable data models

- Write advanced SQL for analytics and transformation use cases

- Implement data quality checks, testing, and validation

- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies

- Partner with analytics, engineering, product, and business teams

- Maintain documentation around data models, lineage, schemas, and transformation logic

- Follow engineering best practices including version control, testing, and code review

What we’re looking for:





- 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, BI Engineering, or a related data role

- Strong SQL skills

- Hands-on experience with data modelling

- Experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework

- Strong understanding of data warehousing and modern analytics workflows

- Experience with Git / version control

- Solid troubleshooting and data quality skills

- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Nice to have:

- Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse

- Airflow

- AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or AI agents

This role is best suited to someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and working closely with both technical and business stakeholders.
